O&A UPDATE
And so it begins...
Orbitcast digg this
I'm not sure how much of our e-mail conversation he wants me talking about, but I encouraged Breitbart to call into O&A today and tell them why he thought this was newsworthy. They really do listen to their detractors who agree to go on the air with them. O&A will give media people who criticize them a fair hearing, which is more than they're getting.

The outrage machine just sort of runs itself, doesn't it? The urge to control how other people think and what they can say isn't a left/right thing. It's universal. But that doesn't mean you need to give in to it. Somebody you enjoy listening to could be next. Welcome to our future, if we don't knock this crap off. ("Ummmm, he said 'crap'!")

P.S. They weren't going after Condi Rice. They had this homeless guy on, he said what he said, and they were goofing on him. "I can just imagine the look on her face" isn't slamming Condi, it's commenting on what a disgusting, smelly mess this guy was. They would have put him down the same way if he wanted to have sex with Wonder Woman or Minnie Mouse. Now, if you think it's horrible to exploit homeless people like that, that's another conversation. But these guys weren't advocating the rape of Condoleeza Rice or anybody else. They were just doing their usual style of "cringe humor," which is definitely not to everybody's taste, but your personal revulsion should not dictate policy. If we keep doing this every time somebody says something we don't like... I mean, every night on Red Eye, somebody says something that could be taken out of context and used by one group or another to get somebody fired. Is that the kind of society we want?

P.P.S. Apparently I'm the "new David Brock" for speaking my mind about this. Well, if I've somehow taken something out of context or misrepresented somebody's intentions, I'm willing to listen. If this isn't just another witch hunt, I'd like to know what it is.

P.P.P.S. Mancow smells blood in the water.
