What I like are those change counting machines you see at supermarkets. But I fear that they take money away from people who could use the money: meaning those men and women who live on the streets. I think it would be far better to hand all of our change to the homeless, and let them count it. Then when they're done, they can give us a receipt to be redeemed at a supermarket, while they get to keep 15 percent of the total. It's not a hard job, and i think it's something you can do while you're sitting on the street outside a grocery store begging for change. (I also think the homeless should be enlisted to give us regular weather updates as well as the correct time - but that debate is for another time and place).
