ANA'S CORPSE FINDS A HOME
The judge presiding over the Anna Nicole Smith burial hearing ruled Thursday that Smith's remains should be given to the guardian ad litem representing her infant daughter, Dannielynn. But the judge said he wants Smith buried with her late son Daniel in the Bahamas."I have suffered for this, I have struggled with this, I have shed tears for your little girl," Broward County Circuit Court Judge Larry Seidlin said to Smith's mother about 15 minutes before he ruled.

During the ongoing court case regarding the custody of Ana Nicole Smith's body, the corpse sat alone in a freezer, slowly decomposing. Concerns were raised, and justifiably so, that as the case would keep going, and going, poor Ana would continue to decay. It made me think of Ana as a snowflake - fragile and beautiful, but melting away right before our eyes. And it made me think, well, how does one preserve a snowflake? It's not that hard. Simply prepare a 1 percent solution of polyvinyl formal in ethylene dichloride in a small vial below freezing temperatures. Then take a cotton swab and place a large drop of the solution onto a cold slide and let the snowflake fall directly into the solution. Leave the slide in a cold room for 10 minutes, and you will have a permanent replica of a snowflake!
